QURTILAS

          
          QURTILAS (Qurban Tiga Dua Ribu Enam Belas) is an event to commemorate the feast of Islam "Eid al-Adha". Idul Adha falls on the 10th Dzulhijjah. In Muslim tradition we do qurban every Idul Adha. Qurban is the tradition of cutting off the heads of sacrificial animals such as cows, goats, camels, etc. At Qurtilas we did Qurban with eleven cows and eleven goats. I was one of the qurtilas organizers as a Field Commander. We started at 7a.m. until 2p.m. We got eleven cows and eleven goats. After all the animals cut in the head, every part of the animal's body was taken to the slaughter place to weigh and divided into several bags. Each bag distributed to anyone in need. After all finished, we do sholat dzuhur and we have a lunch. We ate gulai and its so delicious. Then, we cleaned the school together and went home.
